The Cybersecurity Awards 2018 was a success in so many ways. Backed by CSA (Cybersecurity Agency of Singapore), the awards brought recognition to individuals and enterprises whose contributions to Singapore’s cybersecurity ecosystem have been remarkably inspiring and truly exceptional.

Following the success of the 2018 Cybersecurity Awards, AiSP is proud to launch The Cybersecurity Awards 2019. These awards aim to recognise individuals and organisation which have made significant contribution to the cybersecurity ecosystem in Singapore.

The Awards are:

  1. Hall of Fame Award
    The award is given to working professionals in the cyber field who contribute to Singapore’s cybersecurity ecosystem through exceptional leadership and commitment.
  2. Leader Award
    This recognition is given to professional, working individuals who demonstrate strong leadership, and contribute to the profession in wider areas of cybersecurity such as growing cyber talent, and boosting the local ecosystem.
  3. Professional Award
    This award is given to individuals who show their initiative in bringing the community together, such as by raising cybersecurity awareness or even running programmes that promote Singapore in the global cybersecurity field. Examples of such programmes include championing adoption and awareness of essential cybersecurity practices for businesses and the public.
  4. Student Award
    The award is for students from special cyber interest groups that demonstrate a deep passion for the cyber category, and their potential in the field, by participating in various external programmes such as “Singapore cyber conquest,” and many other similar events.
  5. Multinational Company (MNC) Award
    This award is for organisation who contribute significantly above and beyond its core business to strengthen Singapore’s cybersecurity capabilities, and spearhead wide-reaching and diverse initiatives that benefit the ecosystem and society.
  6. Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Award
    This is awarded to companies who contribute in the areas of cyber research and development (R&D), as well as best practices and know-how, among others. The deep research. companies can be from overseas, but have come to Singapore to groom local talent to research and develop innovative home-grown cyber technologies for commercialisation.

CRESTCon Asia 2018, 20th July 2018; CALL FOR SPEAKERS and SPONSORS

CRESTCon Asia is a unique event that brings together leading technical and business information security professionals in this industry.

You are invited to submit your presentation proposals for CRESTCon Asia 2018.

Presenting at CRESTCon Asia provides you with the opportunity to share your experiences, skills and knowledge with senior delegates and professionals in the security industry. All CRESTCon Asia presentations need to be technical in nature and must relate to penetration testing and assurance, incident response or threat intelligence. We are particularly looking for presentations that showcase new or on-going security research, new threats and vulnerabilities or demonstrating the advances and innovation in security testing techniques, usage of security tools and/or methodologies.

Speakers will be given a 30 to 45-minute session to include Q&A.

CSA Singapore Knowledge Sharing Seminar April

On the 29th of April, CSA held a Knowledge Sharing Seminar cum Networking session at the CSA corporate office in Singapore. In total, the event had 30 attendees from the information security industry in Singapore and was sponsored by Lastline Inc.
Lawrence Ang, Regional Vice President APAC from Lastline Inc., Professor Geoffrey Holmes, Co-founder of Weka from the University of Waikato, Clayton Jones, Managing Director APAC from (ISC)^2 and Dr. Steven Wong, Programme Director from the Singapore Institute of Technology, were the main speakers of the event.
