CSA Seattle Chapter April Meeting Arrow to Content

Join us April 28th 2021 for our chapter meeting.

Steven Bradley, Director, Cognitive Security Intelligence Center will discuss:

Information Sharing to Counter Influence Operations

Abstract: Disinformation, propaganda, and hate speech are nothing new, but actors – foreign and domestic – have increasingly employed online media platforms and automation to spread weaponized information and dangerous narratives that impact national security. Given what we know about foreign meddling in the 2016 US election and the January 2021 insurrection on the US Capitol, there is now considerable public debate on how to address these threats going forward. This presentation focuses on what we’ve learned from cybersecurity and how a public-private partnership based on the Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC) model can be part of the solution.
